Problem Note 51244: An error occurs after you follow instructions to create the /etc/opt/vmware directory when you configure a SAS® 9.4 middle-tier cluster
When you configure a middle-tier cluster deployment, the SAS® Web Application Server node configuration fails because the /etc/opt/vmware directory does not exist.
After you create the
/etc/opt/vmware directory, based on the instructions giving in the SAS® Deployment Wizard, and you click Retry, a second failure might occur with the following error:
[appserverTarget] 2013-06-26 18:35:20,190 [main] DEBUG
com.sas.appserver.impl.AbstractAppServer - handleCommonRemoteExceptions>>>
[appserverTarget] java.io.IOException: The destination file is read-only:
"SAS_Config_dir/Lev1/Web/Applications/SASVisualAnalyticsServices6.2/sig
ner.sh"
To circumvent this error, delete all of the files and folders in the
SAS-configuration-directory/Lev1/Web/Applications. Then click Retry.
